Missing, BDay, BCS

It is great posts like this that make us really miss our pastor and church back in MPLS. Few people call things like they are and are willing to step out and make it known as such.

BDay

Kayla and Carter and I went to Mountain Made to get some bread and rolls so that Tina doesn't have to make them (a nice break for her once in a while). We also bought candles and a decoration to give to Mommy on her birthday. She said that this was one of the better birthday's she has had in a long while.

Lou's birthday is the 24th of January (or rather was). We got a package in the mail yesterday from Tina's Mom and Dad that contained a very cute outfit for Lou (and some hot chocolate). Lou looks great in the new clothes! Thank you Grandma and Grandpa! (I'll have to get a picture later.)

Boring Car Stuff...

I had to quickly replace a ball joint on the old pickup yesterday before it went out - it was all loaded up and ready to go. The driver noticed that it was loose and we happened to have an extra on hand.

We have decided to take the Canter apart and redo all of the welds by the cracked-in-half frame. A few people here (not me) saw another Canter that had broke in the same spot and had been welded up and we all agree that ours needs a little more work before it can be road worthy and able to haul loads of rock, block, sand, or cement. Mr. Kyrk and I took the dump bed off again and, unless the Lord has other plans, I will be working to remove the whole rear axle and wheels (including the leaf springs) so that we can re-weld and make sure that it is solid. We'll have to buy some metal because what we have won't do.
