TB: More Research

If the result of the xray is positive, we have think we have determined that we have anywhere from 2-6 months of treatment to go through before he can come home.

If the result of the xray is negative, we could be home in less than two weeks.

That is the range we believe we are working with. Only God knows.

That's about what I've read on other blogs. You are right, only God knows. Peace be with you right now. I know you are stretched to your limits.

Thanks for confirming, Jan. We'll be praying that it is negative. And you are right, we feel that we are at our limit, but God keeps stretching and providing the grace that allows us to keep going. He is so good!

He never had the TB vaccine did he? Both my kids (Taiwan and ET) had it. THey will always have a positive skin test and have to take the chest xray.

We don't know. We rarely get information from our orphanage director and when we do, it is not always accurate. We'll be hoping he did and that would explain the positive reading on the skin test.

You might be able to see the scar on his arm. It would look like a smaller version of the small pox scar some of us older folks have on our arms. It's probably closer to the shoulder than the bicep. However, Ansley's is getting less visible as she gets bigger. I think they each had it in a different arm.

It was not on Turner's record either but the scar is there.

As we continue to struggle with our health issues here, we realize how lucky we are to have access to the doctors and answers that we need right away. We hope that the test results are favorable for you to be able to come home in two weeks. We will continue to pray for you.
